Fix git repository initialization in fresh projects

i clicked "diffs" and i got "Not a git repository" - if i'm starting something fresh, i'd expect shelley to have created a git repository

edit: i just looked at the system prompt, and i see you do ask it to git init, so i guess it didn't follow instructions.
