Fix Marimo Starter VM disappearing with "not found" error

Description

Marimo Starter is failing on repeated attempts to create a VM. A new VM appears briefly, then the screen clears and displays an error message:

VM "anything" not found.

This issue has been reproduced by multiple users.

Context

User reported this occurs consistently when trying to start the Marimo Starter, making it impossible to demonstrate the product.

Another user (bryanmikaelian) confirmed they can reproduce the issue and noted it appears as though "the VM just disappeared."
